Wyo Anniversary: Harrison Ford Rescues Kid In Yellowstone

16 years ago, Cody Clawson was a 13-year-old boy scout when he got lost in Yellowstone National Park on July 10 of 2001. Cody had walked for hours in the rain and snow and eventually found a cave to take shelter.

While search planes did a grid search, Young Cody reflected sunlight off of his shiny belt buckle and caught the attention of a helicopter pilot, who swooped in and picked up the boy. That pilot, was nonother than actor Harrison Ford.

Cody said, “Wow, Han Solo just rescued me. How cool is that?”
