Wyoming Concert Inspires Funny New Foo Fighters Video
When the Foo Fighters rocked the Casper Events Center just over a year ago, Dave Grohl learned about jackalopes. Now, Wyoming's official mythical animal is part of a new football-themed video written and directed by Grohl.
Super Saturday Night stars the Foo Fighters frontman as Larry Butz, the hard-drinking, hard-playing wide receiver for the San Fernando Jackalopes. Guitarist Pat Smear depicts deranged defensive lineman Helmuut Pyle. Drummer Taylor Hawkins plays the heartthrob quarterback Bret Rogers.
In the video, Fox NFL analysts Terry Bradshaw, Michael Strahan, and Curt Menefee host a pre-game segment from the team's practice facility. During the walk-through, Butz (Grohl) gets in a fight with the Jackalopes mascot and is arrested. Grohl also doubles as a Jackalopes cheerleader enamored with Rogers.
The skit was created to promote the Foo Fighters performance at DirectTV's Super Saturday Night concert on February 2nd. [Warning: the video contains profanity]
