According to a new study, costumers in the Cowboy State are among the most generous tippers in the country.

Based on data collected by the credit card processing company Square, the average tip left in Wyoming is 16.8%, tied for the 12th highest percentage. The national average was 16.5%

Idaho patrons leave the highest average tip, at 17.4%, followed by Arizona, West Virginia, Delaware and Indiana. At an average of 14.8%, customers in Hawaii leave the smallest tips. The District of Columbia, Massachussetts, California, and Rhode Island round out the worst states for tipping.
