Wyoming Is More Affected By Government Shut Down Than Most States
When it comes to the states most and least affected by the United States government shut down, Wyoming is divided.
In fact, it's right in the middle according to a WalletHub survey. WalletHub.com ranked states most affected based on their share of federal jobs and contracts, the percentage of kids covered by the Children's Health Insurance Program, the small business lending per-capita rate, real estate as percentage of gross state product and access to national parks.
Based on those six factors, Wyoming ranks 24th out of the 50 states and D.C.
Probably not surprisingly, Washington D.C. ranked the most affected, followed by Maryland, Virginia, Alaska, and Hawaii.
Least affected was Minnesota, followed by Michigan, Indiana, Delaware, and Ohio.
Wyoming ranked second highest in the "acess to national parks" category behind only Alaska.
