Wyoming has topped many positive top ten lists nationwide, but the latest is not one to be proud of.

According to information gleaned from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Cowboy State ranked number one for the most drunk driving fatalities per 100,000 people in the entire country.

Although Wyoming does have the highest rate per 100k people, of the 10,874 drunk driving fatalities that occurred last year, only 44 took place here.

According to Alcohol.org, men are way more likely to cause a drunk driving fatality. Men account for 80.4% of all nationwide drunk driving deaths.

Another depressing statistic that Alcohol.org reported is drunk drivers account for 29% of all traffic fatalities for the year with an average of one alcohol-impaired-driving fatality every 48 minutes.
