Beastie Boys Rapper MCA Dead at 47

According to TMZ, Beastie Boys rapper MCA has died at the age of 47.

Back in 2009, MCA, whose real name was Adam Yauch, revealed he was being treated for a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node. He underwent surgery and radiation.

It's unclear if the cancer is connected to his death.

Yauch's death was initially reported by GlobalGrind.

Yauch co-founded the Grammy-winning Beastie Boys back in 1979. He leaves behind a wife and daughter.
