Does Holding a Sign that Says ‘Kiss Me I’m Desperate’ Really Work?

All this guy wanted was one simple kiss. He decided to hold a sign saying 'Kiss Me I'm Desperate' to see if people would actually give him a kiss. Let's see if it worked.

There's an old saying, "you're not going to get if you don't ask," and they were, apparently right. He got quite a few kisses just by doing this. Why didn't I think of this in high school?
