UPDATE, 6:42 p.m.: Both lanes of Interstate 80 are closed from Laramie to Rock Springs. WYDOT estimates the closures will last from 14 to 16 hours. Parking on the roadway is prohibited and it hinders efforts to clear the roads. 

In addition to the closures, WYDOT has issued a no unnecessary travel advisory from Otto Road to Laramie


UPDATE, 5:32 P.M.: WYDOT is reporting that the interstate is closed in both directions from Laramie to Rawlins. The below closures still apply. 


Interstate 80 is closed westbound from Rawlins to Rock Springs due to crashes and winter conditions. The Wyoming Department of Transportation does not list a projected reopening time. 

Much of the interstate that is open is under a black ice advisory.

The entire I-80 corridor in Wyoming is under a winter storm warning as of 5 p.m. Monday except for Uinta County. A winter storm watch is in effect in Uinta County.
