Man Tries to Buy Pizza With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Coupon From the 1990s
In these days of instant nostalgia, the ’90s have long been a clearly definable time period.
Some of the cultural touchstones from that decade — such as zebra sunglasses, baggy workout pants and neon — were clearly awful. Others, like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, are remembered more fondly. (Although we are not necessarily recommending you go back and watch any of the pizza-snarfing crime fighter’s movies or TV shows.)
All of these elements are present in the latest video from YouTube humorists Pause the 90s. In the clip, a man who has made those unfortunate fashion choices goes to his local Pizza Hut in hopes of cashing in a series of TMNT coupons from 1990.
The coupons were inside a “radically sealed” VHS tape of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. When he opened the ancient VCR cassette, he found that the coupons had long expired.
Never fear — the Pizza Hut’s manager graciously still accepted the discounts.
That’s Turtle Power!
