Former 'Friends' star Matthew Perry is returning to rehab.

The 41-year-old actor confirmed the news in a statement to PEOPLE, saying, "I'm making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery. Please enjoy making fun of me on the World Wide Web."

This is the third time that Perry, who has long battled addictions to alcohol and prescription pills, has entered rehab. He previously sought treatment in 1997 and 2001.

No word on what this means for Perry's new ABC comedy, 'Mr. Sunshine,' which has yet to be renewed for a second season.
