Maverick Golfs With The Broncos [Photos]

Our Cheyenne hero, Maverick, is at it again! The youngster with a heart and lung defect made national news after hanging with his favorite Major League Baseball team, the Boston Red Sox.

This time, a star athlete from the NFL invited Maverick to an event. Broncos safety T.J. Ward hosts a golf tournament every year for his charity, which benefits children in many different circumstances. After Ward heard Maverick's story, he invited him to be his personal guest on the golf course.

The tournament is held at the Blackstone Country Club in Aurora, Colorado. Other special guests from the Denver Broncos include Peyton Manning and Von Miller.

There's no word yet on how the pair performed, but we're pretty sure the day ended with a smile for both of them.
