A memorial service for Casper Fire-EMS Capt. Scott Low will be held Saturday afternoon followed by a procession and a reception, according to a news release from the department.

The service will be held at Casper Faith Assembly of God, 4301 Casper Mountain Road, at  2 p.m. Saturday.

The family has asked for a small procession of Natrona County agencies that will start at the church, travel north on Casper Mountain Road, turn right on South Durbin Street, turn left at East First Street, pass Fire Station No. 1 on South Elm Street, and finish at the Yellowstone Garage, 355 W. Yellowstone Highway.

Any agencies bringing a fire department vehicle are welcome to stage anywhere along the procession route.

Low, a 22-year veteran of the Casper Fire-EMS Department, died Wednesday morning after being injured in an off-duty accident last week, according to Firefighter and Public Information Officer Dane Andersen.

Low 50, was qualified as an advanced EMT. Before joining the Casper Fire-EMS Department, he served in the California Department of Forestry for three years.

He was an avid outdoorsman and fly fisherman, Andersen said. "His presence, laughter, and sense of humor will be dearly missed by his fellow firefighters and friends."

Low is survived by his wife.
