The Wyoming Department of Transportation have issued a 'no unnecessary travel' advisory for portions of Interstate 25 in central Wyoming as a winter storm moves through the area.

As of 9 a.m. Monday, both directions of I-25 from Midwest to Glendo were under the travel advisory. The exception was a stretch of I-25 between Casper and Exit 210, which was under a black-ice advisory.

From Kaycee to Wheatland, WYDOT says segments of I-25 are slick with snowfall, blowing snow, strong winds and limited visibility in many areas.

Meanwhile, Interstate 80 between Laramie and Rawlins opened to all traffic in both directions shortly before 9:15 a.m.

The westbound lanes of I-80 were closed from Cheyenne to Laramie, though eastbound lanes on that stretch were open.
