Here’s a video that is a not-so-gentle reminder of being cautious when you’re driving on Wyoming highways this winter. It’s a dash-cam video that shows a truck lose control and slam into a Wyoming Highway Patrol vehicle.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol press release, this incident occurred on October 31, 2019 on I-25 just south of Wheatland. The officer was parked on the side of the highway assisting a stranded motorist. She was fortunately in her vehicle and wearing her seat belt when the impact happened.

As you can see in the video, this was an unbelievable impact that caused extreme damage to the truck and the patrol car. Fortunately, the officer was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries while the truck driver did not have any apparent injuries.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol shared this video with us as a reminder of using extra caution when you’re driving during our winter season. This accident could have become a tragedy. Thankfully, it’s just a scary dash-cam video and a couple of destroyed vehicles.
