Wyoming is a Paradise for Paleontologists and Dinosaur Lovers [VIDEO]
One of Wyoming's biggest industries is oil. The oil we harvest from the earth was deposited in the Mesozoic era from what was once organic material. Some of that material must have contained dinosaurs as they roamed the earth at that time. Then it should also come to no surprise that we have a plethora of dinosaur bones and fossils. We could almost call Wyoming the Paleontology State. We are one of the few states that have a state dinosaur, the triceratops.
Just up in Thermopolis, there is the Wyoming Dinosaur Center which is featured in this video from Travel Wyoming. They are one of the only museums with an actual dig site within driving distance. It's pretty amazing if you think about it, a museum that you can get your hands dirty with a piece of the past.
