Wyoming’s Obesity Rate Has Doubled In the Past 20 Years
While it has recently fallen, the percentage of obese adults in Wyoming has skyrocketed over the past 20 years, growing from 14% to 29% from 1995 to 2015.
For the first time in over a decade, the adult obesity rate in Wyoming went down last year, albeit slightly.
According to new statistics released this month, the percentage of obese adults in the Cowboy State fell from 29.5 to 29 percent from 2014 to 2015.
Wyoming has the 30th highest rate of adult obesity in the nation.
Lousiana has the country's highest rate of adult obesity, with over 36%. Colorado has the lowest percentage in the country, with just over 20%
