Casper Travel Alert: Outer Drive Closed Due to Winter Conditions

Outer Drive, also known as WY 258, closed due to winter weather Sunday night.

WYDOT did not provide an estimated reopening time for the highway, as of 7:45 p.m.

Area roadways were reported to be in rough shape, with the West Belt Loop listed as slick and I-25 to Glenrock slick with blowing snow.

Casper Mountain Road was closed with no estimated reopening time.

I-25 from Casper to Kaycee remained closed. As of 7 p.m. Sunday, WYDOT reported the estimated reopening time was in 17-19 hours, or between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Monday.

I-25 southbound from Buffalo to Kaycee remained closed as well, with the same estimated reopening time. The northbound lanes along that stretch were open, but slick conditions were reported.
