Some Wyoming towns have been losing businesses leaving vacant buildings behind. While there have been a few new stores opening, a healthy city needs the right kind of business to succeed. What business would you like to see move in with their doors wide open?

My wife is convinced that we need to get a Burlington Coat Factory for clothes, shoes, household items, and of course coats. With the closest Burlington in Denver, it would be nice to keep money in Wyoming and maybe even lure some revenue out of Colorado and other states here. It’s been the other way around for a while.

We’ve seen all sorts of business come and go, and it all boils down to what business would last for years.

How would you like a Tokyo Joe’s semi fast Oriental inspired restaurant.  Some like the idea of a Boondock’s Recreational Center, Popeye’s Chicken, Del Taco, Church’s Chicken, Best Buy, Guitar Center, Lane Bryant, any store that offers a BIG variety of affordable Big and Tall clothes for men (JC Penny has just a very small selection)

A non-scientific poll showed overwhelming support for a Cabela’s. Seems a number of businesses have chosen to establish themselves in Colorado instead of Wyoming. In the move of MAGPUL to Wyoming from Colorado, we recently saw their good start in 2015 take a recent hit by cutting 85 employees..

It’s a tough environment with a lot of factors to consider, but if you ruled the world who would you like to see open their doors here?

Forbes says the fastest growing industries are in information technology and construction-related companies. Inc likes Meditation and mindfulness training, ready-to-drink coffee and tea, mobility tech for autonomous vehicles, pet care, construction management, Synthetic biology for engineered medicines, foods, and fuel. Also popular; artificial intelligence and brick-and-mortar retail technology.

CNBC likes these restaurants:  Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar, Fogo de Chão, Chuy’s Mexican Food, Seasons 52 and Twin Peaks. Forbes likes Subway, Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, Jimmy Johns, Little Caesar’s, Chipotle, Popeyes, Panera Bread and McDonalds. While we have many of these, if you were investing your money, these are the sure things.

But, if it were up to you, I.e., if you had your druthers, what businesses and restaurants would you like to see here? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
