One of the greatest freedoms we have in America is the open road. I love classic cars and the era they ruled. I’m particularly fond of Detroit rolling iron and the muscle cars of the 60s and 70s, but everyone is different and that’s a great thing, variety. There are lots of different ways of putting together a great vehicle, and therein lies an adventure for this weekend.

In celebration of one of the greatest parts of being human, the 19th Annual Colorado Nationals Car Show returns to the Ranch Events Complex in Loveland, Colorado September 9-11 for three days of hot rodding fun!

I wish I still owned my fully restored 1969 Firebird Convertible (pictured below) so I could road trip there in style this weekend. I had a frame off restoration with a balanced & blueprinted 400 c.i. engine, that I miss dearly. What’s your favorite car, foreign or domestic?

I think this passage relates in a way;

“It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
