Citizens from across the Rocky Mountain region that are opposed to Dakota Access Pipeline being constructed through the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in North Dakota will host a demonstration Saturday in Cheyenne.

The demonstrators plan to meet between at 3:00 p.m. in front of the Wyoming State Capitol Building on W. 24th Street in Cheyenne.

According to the group's Facebook event, they hope to send a message to lawmakers in Washington DC.

We want to show Trump that we don't support his stance in favor of an increased dependence on fossil fuels at the expense of indigenous people's rights to clean drinking water.

The page also announces members of the Wind River Native Advocacy Center will be speaking.
