Studios have been trying to replicate the success of Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s The LEGO Movie, with films based on Play-Doh, Minecraft, Playmobil and more in the works. And while we’ve yet to see exactly how these attempts will pan out, we can add another one to the pile as Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have signed on to produce a movie based on the Where’s Waldo? series of books.
With more than 55 million ‘Where’s Waldo?’ books sold worldwide, MGM has announced the bespectacled, striped shirt-wearing icon is getting his own live-action family adventure movie too.
If you wanted find the real Waldo in Dublin, Ireland last weekend you would have been in for quite a challenge.
That’s because 3,657 people donned the red-and-white striped costume of the notoriously illusive character from the ‘Where’s Waldo?’ children’s book series in order to set a world record for the most Waldo impersonators in one place.
