There's also some old-school ROCK 'N' ROLL in the rider.  They demand that the hotel bar be open 24-7 . . . regardless of whether or not that's legal

You wouldn’t run into Keith Richards buying a pack of cigarettes at 711, because he gets them from the hotel. The tour rider for the last ROLLING STONES tour sheds light on what's important to the guys now that they're in their late 60s and early 70s.

One of their main concerns is their accommodations, and it's not that they need room for all their groupies, it's that they want to know how to use all the newfangled gadgets.

The hotel rider requires that they have "written-out instructions on how to use ALL the electronics in each room."  Laugh all you want, but at least they aren't asking for grab-rails in the showers or Metamucil on the night stand.

There's also some old-school ROCK 'N' ROLL in the rider.  They demand that the hotel bar be open 24-7 . . . regardless of whether or not that's legal . . . and that the windows be 'blacked out,' so they can party all night long.

In addition to alcohol, they want to have an endless supply of Marlboro cigarettes, both Reds & Lights, extra butlers for massive room service requests, and after-hours dry cleaning.
