What Wyoming Road Trip With Sammy Hagar?

Sammy Hagar takes Dan Rather for a ride in his custom-made $1.3 million Ferrari LaFerrari (1 of 499) as part of an interview to air Tuesday, February 23. They cruise through a neighborhood but the problem here is that this is not a town car.

With a top speed that exceeds 227 mph, Ferraris are meant to run on the open road and that’s what Wyoming has plenty of. After the patching and road repairs of Spring are done and we have long smooth ribbons of blacktop and concrete, Wyoming is road trip heaven.

What route would you want to run in one of the most expensive and finely tune automobiles in the world? I-80 & I-25 might be a bit pedestrian. Maybe you could show Sammy 57 miles of beautiful Wyoming with Ten Sleep to Buffalo on highway 16, The Cloud Peak Skyway. Another great Wyoming drive would be 137 mile run from Baggs to Encampment, about 2 hours 7 mins if you run at 65 miles per hour, but where’s the fun in that with a high performance automobile?

Rock ‘n’ Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar premiered January 24^th, 2016 on AXS TV. It’s a six-episode original series featuring Hagar as he drives across the country to interview and jam with some of the big name artists including Tommy Lee, Bob Weir, Alice Cooper, Nancy Wilson and others. The series also presents Hagar’s personal experiences and rules of the road, as he tours with his new band, The Circle.
