It's not like we didn't know this happens, but it's not often we actually get to see the Wyoming wind blow the ice off of a lake. That's what a new video share shows.

Mad props to Kimmery Remmels who just shared this neat video. I must confess that I had to ask my meteorologist wife exactly what I was seeing. She said the wind in Wyoming is strong enough to push the surface ice from its place to the shore. That's what is happening in this video.

This is a phenomenon that is more common around the Great Lakes as this video shows.

Leave it to the Wyoming wind to prove that it will not be outdone.
