The same Lander Middle School student who threatened to "shoot up" the school last week again threatened to "shoot up the school," the Lander Police Department reported Thursday.

"Please be assured every effort is being made to keep all school campuses, staff and students safe," Lander Police Detective Trenton Maus Wrote Thursday morning.

Thursday's threat has not been substantiated, but there will be a heightened law enforcement presence Thursday at Lander schools.

Last week, a 14-year-old Lander Middle School student made threats of conducting a school shooting. The district took "appropriate action" while an investigation was conducted.
