Natrona County Coroner Identifies Casper Man Found In Ditch
The Natrona County Coroner has identified the body found in a drainage ditch near the intersection of Second and Beverly Streets on Tuesday, according to a news release from Coroner Connie Jacobson.
He is Jerremy Baker, 46, from Casper.
His family has been notified and an autopsy will be scheduled later next week.
At 6:38 p.m. Tuesday, Casper Police officers responded to the 200 block of South Minnesota Avenue after someone reported a suspicious odor.
Sgt. Joey Wilhelm told reporters on Wednesday that the body had apparently been in the ditch for some time.
There was no obvious cause of death at the scene, and it wasn't a homicide investigation at that time, but investigators were not ruling anything out, Wilhelm said.
The case remains under investigation.
