The energy sector declines have seen layoffs in the immediate oil rigs, transport and insularly job market. Government layoffs and hiring freezes have also hit Wyomingites. Tourism is also important to our state’s economy and with low gasoline prices, it’s easier for people to come visit one of the most beautiful places in the world.

AAA says “Gas Prices Drop to 12-Year Low for July” and Wyoming gasoline prices are down 1.3 cents per gallon over the last week, almost 5 cents a gallon over the last month. More incentives for motor homes, SUVs, trucks and cars to bring tourists and the dollars that follow.

Lower prices also help locals at the pump, freeing up money for other things like eating out, purchasing and entertainment to name a very few.

The average price for regular gasoline in Wyoming is $2.28. Membership retailer Sam’s aside, the best price for regular in Casper is $2.08 at the Sinclair 902 E 2nd St & S Jefferson St. In Cheyenne, the best price is at Sapp Bros. 12500 I-80 Service Rd & US-30 for $2.03.
