A lot of school kids look forward to Spring Break but for some who rely on schools for their meals, it can mean going hungry. Wyoming Food For Thought Project is continuing their work to change that, with their Spring Break Food Drive to make sure no kid goes hungry on the nine day break.

The effort to source enough food for 22,500 meals and snacks is driven by volunteer groups with a helping hand from Townsquare Media. There will have a number of sites across the community, staffed by volunteers, ready to take donations of food or funds to meet that goal.

The Spring Break Food Drive is on Saturday, March 16th, from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Topping the list of wanted items are soup, canned meals, canned veggies, canned fruit, cracker packs, tuna, peanut butter, boxed cereal, granola bars, instant oatmeal, and macaroni and cheese.

After the Drive starting at 4:00pm, there will be a celebration and after-party at the Good Food Hub, 420 West First Street in downtown Casper. Awards will be handed out for the most items, and the most funds collected.
